On a hiking trip to Belle île en mer
The GR 340: our advice and our "star" hiking trip
With 80 km of coastal paths, there is plenty to do !
For experienced hikers, it is possible to walk around in 5-6 days, with an average of 5 to 6 hours per day.
For a long weekend you will have to make choices. Those staying for 10 days will have time to alternate between walking and relaxing.
Our rentals are a starting point for many hiking and biking trails to discover Belle Isle, and guidebooks are available in each house.
It is essential to have good walking shoes and to be in good physical condition to walk on the paths, especially on the wild coast where the difference in level is high.
Belle île by foot
We offer "star" hiking holidays.
Possible from 1 to 4 people, from March to October, except school holidays and public holidays.
This way, you can return to your accommodation every evening, no need to unpack your bag every day !
Our hiking trip includes : - transfers : - to and from the accommodation to the port of Palais or Sauzon + to and from the departure and return of the hike, - accommodation in a fully equipped furnished house, - Household linen, - cleaning at the end of your stay.
We can also advise you on our favourite routes with travel times and new difficulty levels.
Ideally, you should contact us directly by telephone so that we can discuss your project together.
Belle île by bike
It will be possible to rent bicycles (electric strongly advised) with Yohann "Locmaria cycle" who on request makes the delivery of the bicycles directly to the houses of Kerdavid'île.
The advantage is that you are free to travel and in contact with nature. However, on the island, cycling requires great vigilance:
- the majority of bicycle roads are shared with cars
- the steepness of the many valleys means that you need to be well trained. This activity should preferably be practised outside July and August and should be avoided with young children.
Protect our trails, equip your poles with tips
In order to guarantee the quality and durability of the coastal path, the 4 Mayors have issued a decree banning the use of walking sticks with tips.
The use of walking sticks without a tip or with tips remains authorised. Where to find tips?
At the Kingdom of Toys and Tobacco at the Portes du Palais
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
