Beaches of Belle île

Belle île has 58 beaches , so there is plenty of choice, most of which are well indicated on the tourist office's map. Some suggestions/advice :

Beaches suitable for children: Les grands-sables, Samzun, Port Maria, Port Blanc, Bordardoué and Kerel

The must-sees: Baluden and Herlin, Port-Andro and Donnant

With water sports activities: Les grands-sables for sailing, paddle and longe-côte - Donnant for surfing and body-building - Samzun and La Biche are good spots for fishing on foot.

On the wild coast there are often waves unlike the beaches on the mainland. Remember to choose your destination according to the wind direction, the beaches of Bugul and Port-Andro are often more sheltered.

Points and panoramas

To the south of the island, the Kerdonis point and its pretty lighthouse dominate the beach of Port-Andro.

To the west, the points of Arzic, Skeul, Pouldon and Sémaphore du Talut with the cove of Goulphar are magnificent viewpoints on the wild coast and its grandiose cliffs.
Do not miss the sunset on the needles of Port-Coton or the famous Pointe des Poulains at the end of the island.
From the Pointe du Bugul, the Gros Rocher or the Taillefer, we can admire the coast "inside" with its gorse, its heather and its white sandy beaches.
